Installment Calculator: PRICE and SAC Online & Free

Enter the financed amount, monthly interest rate and number of installments to see the total credit cost.

Installments aren't free: compound interest makes the total paid grow quickly. This calculator compares the two most common systems in Brazil — the Price Table (fixed installment) and SAC (decreasing installment) — and shows exactly how much interest you'll pay.

Total amount to be financed

%

Rate in % per month (e.g. 1.99 for 1.99% p.m.)

Number of months in the financing

Educational simulation for credit option comparison. The real cost (CET — Total Effective Cost) may include fees, insurance and other charges not considered here. Consult the financial institution before contracting.

Rules verified on 2026-09. Price and SAC formulas are standardized by Brazil's Central Bank.

Installment Questions

What's the difference between Price Table and SAC?

In the Price Table the installment is fixed from start to finish — you pay more interest in the first months. In SAC the amortization is constant and interest decreases every month, so the first installment is higher, but total interest paid is lower.

Which system is more advantageous?

SAC is generally cheaper in total interest paid, because you amortize faster. But the first installment is higher. Price has a predictable installment, which makes monthly planning easier.

Where do I find my financing interest rate?

In the contract or credit proposal, usually expressed in % p.m. (per month). If you see an annual rate, divide by 12 (simple approximation) or use the equivalent rate formula.

What is CET?

The Total Effective Cost includes interest, fees, insurance and all other credit charges. Brazil's Central Bank requires financial institutions to disclose the CET before contracting. This calculator computes pure interest only.
