Vocci Ring: $249 AI meeting device faces software limits
According to TechCrunch, the Vocci ring brings AI meeting notes to a titanium-coated, sub-6-gram wearable priced at $249. Users double-tap the device to start and stop recordings, capturing up to eight hours of audio on a single charge.
How does the Vocci ring perform in practice?
The hardware excels at capturing audio even in loud environments like cafes, converting long chats into accurate transcripts. However, the accompanying mobile app creates friction with redundant tabs, slow feature updates, and a lack of direct integrations with reminder apps.
What are the privacy concerns?
The ring resembles regular jewelry, hiding its primary function. TechCrunch notes that the LED recording indicator faces inward toward the user, making it easy for individuals to record conversations without the explicit consent of other participants.
