Google Workspace Adds Native AI Image, Video, and Translation Tools

Google integrated heavy generative AI tools directly into its core productivity applications. Instead of exporting assets from standalone software, users can now build and edit content natively inside Docs, Sheets, Meet, and Vids.

How does in-app AI change daily production?

The main bottleneck in content creation is switching between tabs and tools to generate, format, and insert assets. With Google Pics running on the Nano Banana model, users can type text prompts to create or modify images directly inside presentations and documents without opening an external editor.

Collaboration also happens in real time. Teams can edit the same generated image simultaneously, change embedded text, or translate it while preserving original fonts and styles. Meanwhile, the Gemini Omni panel inside Google Vids builds and refines video sequences from reference sketches, adjusting lighting or swapping backgrounds without forcing a full re-render.

What about data and meetings?

Google Sheets gets the Sheets Canvas feature, turning flat rows and columns into interactive dashboards via text prompts. Changes sync instantly with the raw data. In parallel, Google Meet expanded its live translation to handle Spanish and Portuguese with voice and tone replication, paving the way for a 70-language rollout.

For everyday operations, this shift eliminates intermediate file handling. Production cycles shrink because drafts, assets, and translations live in the same collaborative document space.
