Claude Dashboards and Motion: what changes for work

According to The Decoder, Anthropic has introduced two major beta features for Claude: Dashboards and Motion. These additions change how professionals handle data visualization and video creation directly inside the chat interface.
How do Claude Dashboards change data reporting?
Dashboards connects directly to data sources such as BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake, and Salesforce. Users can generate auto-updating live dashboards simply by typing text prompts.
Every generated number displays its underlying query, and results can be exported to tools like Amplitude, Grafana, or Hex. This feature is restricted to paid users, cutting out the intermediate step of building manual queries in separate analytics platforms.
What does the new Motion tool actually build?
Motion creates animated explainer videos from text inputs, diagrams, and images. The resulting animations remain editable as code and can be exported directly as MP4 files.
Unlike Dashboards, Motion is currently limited to Team and Enterprise plans. It removes the need for external video editing software when quick visual explanations are required for presentations.
Who gets access to Docs, Slides, and Design?
Anthropic confirmed that Docs, Slides, and Design are leaving beta and rolling out to all plans, including free accounts. The company reports that over 45 million documents have already been created using these tools, which will fully integrate Claude Design into the main app by December 14.
